Motutapu Restoration Trust
The Motutapu Restoration Trust is an organisation which aims to restore one
third of Auckland's ancient (and pest free) Motutapu Island to its natural forested state.
The Trust offers volunteer days roughly every second weekend when registered volunteers can show up and help out with extreme weed work, nursery work or planting. Three different, brilliant, fun and sometimes hilarious experiences that look great on a CV.
- You get to help out, have tonnes of fun and then enjoy a surprise BBQ.
Sounds pretty great doesn't it?
Motuihe Restoration Project
The Motuihe Restoration Project is an organisation which aims to improve the unique ecosystems and environments of the beautiful (and pest free) Motuihe through planting days which are offered every first, third and fifth Sunday of each month. With a kiosk open for coffee, tea, ice cream as well as guided tours of the island's native flora and fauna Motuihe makes a great destination for volunteers and tourists alike.
- You get to have a great day, interact with unique native environments and maybe even enjoy an ice cream or two.
